About Sankofa
The Sankofa Collective began as the The Bayou Theatre Company (hereafter referred to as BTC) in 2013, a 501(c)(3) non-profit theatrical arts organization established to utilize the performing arts as an outreach and entertainment source to the underserved population of the Northwest Houston community and beyond.
Our Mission
To expose the community to the benefits of theatre, educate at-risk youths and adults of color to the poor of creativity, and to culturally enrich the masses with our art form.
