Yesha Benjamin is a current student of Stephen F Austin State University. She is majoring in child and family development with a minor in gender studies. Being an alumni from G. W. Carver High School she has performed in many musicals such as The Color Purple, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Wiz. She has also performed in U.I.L One Act plays such as Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Ma Rainey) and Darker Face of the Earth (Scylla) where she was a two-time Best Actress award winner. Not only has she gained experience in the theater, but also in the work force where she was a secretary for Primeway Federal Credit Union loan and credit officers. Yesha is currently a student advisor at Lonestar Community College Upward Bound Trio program increasing her experience by assisting advisors and helping current high school students in college preparation.
